Ann was born in 1787 in Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire and her christening took place there on July 8th, 1787.¹ Ann's father was Thomas Holmes and her mother was Ann Boys. Her paternal grandparents were John Holms and Mary Mann. She had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas, Mary, Ann and Sarah. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 79 on January 1st, 1866 in Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire. She was buried at St Bartholomew, Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire.²²
