Mary A Hay 
Mary was born in 1854 in Sunderland, Co Durham.1 Mary's father was William S Hay and her mother was Margaret Hunter. Her maternal grandparents were Robert Haswell Hunter and Hannah Jane Ford. She had a brother and two sisters, named Robert, Margaret and Ellen. She was the oldest of the four children.-
