Joseph Harper 
Joseph was born in 1871 in Ormesby, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.1 Joseph's father was James Henry Harper and his mother was Elizabeth Haywood. His paternal grandparents were James Harper and Sarah Lees; his maternal grandparents were William Haywood and Mary. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Henry, William, Ezekiel, John, Mary, Sarah, Dinah and Mary. He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
