Charles was born in 1805 in Shotesham, Norfolk.  Charles' father was Anthony Everrett and his mother was Elizabeth. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Jonathan, John, William, George, Edward, James, Thomas, Robert, Joseph, Mary and Hephzibah.  He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.
