Joseph Bell 
Joseph was born in 1883 in Broompark, Co Durham.1 Joseph's father was Henderson Bell and his mother was Jane Smith. His paternal grandparents were John Bell and Hannah Hetherington; his maternal grandparents were William Smith and Mary. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Mary and Sarah. He was the youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother named George.-
