Hannah was born in 1842 in Saxlingham, Norfolk.¹ Hannah's father was George Baldwin and her mother was Elizabeth Fulcher. Her maternal grandparents were William Fulcher and Hannah Collins. She had three sisters named Martha, Frances and Margaret. She was the oldest of the four children.
