Sophia Hales

Sophia was born in 1825.  Sophia's father was George Hales and her mother was Frances Gowing.  Her paternal grandparents were George Hales and Lucy Beaumont; her maternal grandparents were Henry Gowing and Judith Bowton. She had three brothers and four sisters, named George, William, Ephraim, Susan, Elizabeth, Judith and Eliza.  She was the oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James and Lydia.  She died at the age of 72 in 1897.
