George Thomas Foster
George was born on October 8th, 1893 in West Cornforth, Co Durham. George's father was Anthony Smith Foster and his mother was Jane Mary Todd. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Foster and Ann Smith; his maternal grandparents were George Todd and Elizabeth Hall. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Edward, Anthony, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the third oldest of the five children.
