John William Storey

John was born in 1854 in Leeds, Yorkshire.¹   John's father was David Storey and his mother was Maria Pickles.  His paternal grandparents were John Storey and Mary; his maternal grandfather was Jonathan Pickles. He had two brothers and a sister, named Joseph, David and Sarah.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named George, Mary, Emmeline and Elizabeth.
