Mary Clift

Mary was born in 1757 in Cakemore, Worcestershire and her christening took place on April 24th, 1757 at St Johns, Halesowen, Worcestershire.¹   Mary's father was James Clift and her mother was Ann Smith. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Joseph, Josiah, Dorothy and Hannah.  She was the third youngest of the six children. She had three half-brothers named Thomas, James and Samuel.
