Avraham was born in 1883 in Drohobycz.  Avraham's father was Moses Eliezer Kestenbaum and his mother was Zisel Meir.  His paternal grandfather is Avraham Aron Kestenbaum and his paternal grandmother was Scheindel Chane Meir. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Nachman, Nechemia, Salomon, Yosef, Berl, Feige, Bracha, Tova Tauba and Sheindel Hanna .  He died in the Holocaust at the age of 60 in 1943.
