Shosh was born on May 3rd, 1939 in Tel Aviv. Shosh's father was Shlomo Yacov Fuchs and her mother was Miriam (Mania) Fuchs (Kestenbaum). Her paternal grandparents were Aharon Yehuda Fuchs and Miriam Fuchs; her maternal grandparents were Nachman Kimmelheim Kestenbaum and Sheindel Hanna Kestenbaum Meir. She has two sisters named Margalit and Hanna. She is the oldest of the three children.
