Jacobus Johannes Liebenberg

Jacobus, known as Wolf, was born on April 21st, 1864. Wolf's father was Christiaan Rudolf Liebenberg and his mother was Maria Magdalena Johanna Marias. His paternal grandparents were Christiaan Rudolph Liebenberg and Maria Magdalena Burger; his maternal grandparents were Petrus Johannes Marais and Hester Sophia Burger. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Krisjan Kat, Sekel, Hester, Hendrina, Sophia, Anna and Mieta. He died at the age of 65 on April 29th, 1929 in Porterville, SA.

General Notes
- Koos was lame in one leg, resulting in a gait resembling that of the beach hyena (Strandjutwolf). He therefore earned the nickname "Wolf". He was rather proud of this nickname and often introduced himself as "Mr Wolf", much to the amusement of friends and family. The name has been passed down as referring to his line of the Liebenberg family.
