Andries (Sekel) Johannis Burger Liebenberg

Andries, known as Sekel, was born in 1867. Sekel's father was Christiaan Rudolf Liebenberg and his mother was Maria Magdalena Johanna Marias. His paternal grandparents were Christiaan Rudolph Liebenberg and Maria Magdalena Burger; his maternal grandparents were Petrus Johannes Marais and Hester Sophia Burger. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Krisjan Kat, Wolf, Hester, Hendrina, Sophia, Anna and Mieta. He died at the age of 71 on September 25th, 1938 in Porterville, SA. His burial was in Pampoenkraal, Porterville.

    - Farmed on "Middelrug", Porterville. "Middelrug" is a subdivision of "Pampoemkraal". "Middelrug" did not have a homestead, so in 1910 Andries started builing a house. Due to the outbreak of war they only moved into the house after WWI.
