Mary was born in 1887 in Bedworth, Warwickshire.  Mary's father was Joseph HENTON and her mother was Sarah <UNKNOWN>. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Tom, Samuel, Joseph, John, Hannah, Sarah, Elizabeth and Harriett.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.
