Walter HARRIS

Walter was born on February 18th, 1891 in Union Workhouse, 50 Arden Street, Stratford-On-Avon. Walter's father was John HARRIS and his mother was Eliza WRIGHT. His paternal grandparents were William HARRIS and Elizabeth DUFFIN; his maternal grandparents were Charles WRIGHT and Susannah BARR. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Willie, Charles, Liz, Poll and Sarah. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 41 on January 9th, 1933 in Haunchwood Colliery, Stockingford, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. His burial was on January 14th, 1933 in Bucks Hill Cemetery, Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

General Notes
- In the 1901 Census grandad Walter, along with his father John, was lodging with the Green family at Robinsons End. It was during his years with this family that he earned the nickname Sammy Green.
