Mary was born in 1869 in Alveston, Warwickshire.1   Mary's father was John HARRIS and her mother was Ann MULLIS.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas HARRIS and Mary <UNKNOWN>; her maternal grandparents were Thomas MULLIS and Mary MULLIS. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, George, William, Sarah and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the six children.
