John  Leigh

John  was born in March 1830.  John 's father was John Belcher and his mother was Mary Anne Leigh.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Belcher and Ann Swallow; his maternal grandparents were John Leigh and Sarah Robinson. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, George, Charles, Anne, Sarah, Mary, Eliza and Mary.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
