Евгения was born on December 26th, 1907.  Евгения's father was Петр Тимофеев Устименко and her mother was Епистимия Петрова (Устименко).  Her paternal grandparents were Тимофей Игнатов Устименко and Екатерина Кирикова (Устименко). She had two brothers and three sisters, named Максим, Георгий, Параскевия, Марфа and Наталия.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
