Параскевия was born on October 14th, 1896.  Параскевия's father was Петр Тимофеев Устименко and her mother was Епистимия Петрова (Устименко).  Her paternal grandparents were Тимофей Игнатов Устименко and Екатерина Кирикова (Устименко). She had two brothers and three sisters, named Максим, Георгий, Марфа, Евгения and Наталия.  She was the oldest of the six children.
