Willy was born on September 24th, 1914.1   Willy's father was Cleophus (R-Cliff) Smith and his mother was Beatrice Corpatts`.  His paternal grandparents were ? Smith and Annie B Booker; his maternal grandparents were Corpatts and Caldonia Knoxs. He had two brothers named Tom and Robert.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 85 on October 26th, 1999.1
