Francoise was born about 1652 in Port Royal, Acadia, Nova Scotia, Canada. Francoise's father was François Savoie and her mother was Catherine Le Jeune (dit Briard).  Her paternal grandfather was Thomas François de Savoie (Prince de Carignan) and her paternal grandmother is Unknown; her maternal grandparents were Pierre Le Jeune I (dit Briard) and Unknown Mi'kmaq Indian. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Germain, Francois, Marie, Jeanne, Catherine, Barnabe, Andrée and Marie.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died on December 27th, 1711 in Port Royal, Acadia, Nova Scotia, Canada.  The funeral took place on December 27th, 1711.  She was buried on December 27th, 1711 in St. Jean Baptiste, Port Royal.
