Helen Cammarata

Helen was born in 1913 in Bloomfield, PA.

Birth Notes
- She was born in Pittsburgh,,,maybe it was called Bloomfield,Pa. I know my mom wanted to go somewhere over seas one time for a hair show or class for beautician school ( My mom was a beautician) and needed a passport,but could never get a passport because she never got a birth certificate. She always told us the hospital and the courthouse burnt down.......but I don't know if that was true,,,because when she died I was told by my Uncle Sammy, that she was always 8 yrs older than she said she was. I thought she was 48 when she died,,at the funeral or maybe the days after,my Uncle Sammy said she was a little older than 48...as he was 10 yrs younger and he was 46 when my mom died. I think now she was really 56, but I am not sure.Somewhere, I saw that perhaps she was born in 1913. She did not know the day she was born. My Grandma O'Brien was born on April 23rd...so when my mom married my dad, she told him her birthday was April 23rd too.....but I do not think thats her real birthday, only mom thought she was born in April as a child.

Helen 's father was Angelo Cammarata and her mother was Rosalie DeGunieno. Her paternal grandparents were Michael Cammarata and Francis DiSimone; her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Willie, Sam, Fred, <Unknown> and Francis. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Michael, Joseph and Mary. She died at the age of 58 in 1971.
