  • There apparently was an extensive family because my mom corresponded with Grandma's sister after Grandma died and she was living in Palermo and said that there were a bunch of family members there so I guess that Grandma's parents had lots of siblings.
    

• General Notes
  • Rosalie Cammarata,  had a brother and a sister and  came from Villa Rosa, in Sicily. Her brother became a priest and had a monastery in Naples. Her sister, who lost her hand in some kind of accident, was sent to school and became a teacher. My Aunt Frances,,,my moms sister, actually corresponded with her in the late sixties. She had moved to Palermo.My Aunt Frances said she never married because she was "unmarriagiable" because of her hand and that she seemed happy.
    Rosalie died of colon cancer. She got sick in April and died in November of 1963. It was believed she was 83.I don't remember the date,although it was the first day of school I ever missed in my years of going to school. I was 13 and in the 9th grade.,and had perfect attendance until that time,and had to miss 3 days for the funeral.
