Els was born on February 17th, 1825 in Tartumaa, Nõo kk, Luke. Els' father was Karl Adamson and her mother was Marri Jansen.  Her paternal grandparents were Ado and Madli. She had a brother and three sisters, named Friedrich, Liso, Wio and Anno.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had eight half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Peter, Jakob, Märt, Peter, Jaan, Johann, Michel, August Karl Michel, Marri and Anna Marie.  She died at the age of 20 on June 28th, 1845.
