Jozef was born on November 7th, 1907.  Jozef's father was Remi Francis Demets and his mother was Emelie Ravelinghien.  His paternal grandparents are Hubert Demets and Rosalie Deketele; his maternal grandparents were Leo Ravelinghien and Rosalie Mahieu. He had a brother and two sisters, named André, Maria Magdalena and Alice Julia.  He died at the age of 70 on May 29th, 1978.
