André was born on June 24th, 1910.  André's father was Remi Francis Demets and his mother was Emelie Ravelinghien.  His paternal grandparents are Hubert Demets and Rosalie Deketele; his maternal grandparents were Leo Ravelinghien and Rosalie Mahieu. He had a brother and two sisters, named Jozef, Maria Magdalena and Alice Julia.  He died at the age of 74 on July 8th, 1984.
