Petrus was born on November 21st, 1675.  Petrus' father was Carolus Benoit and his mother was Mayken Lammertijn.  His paternal grandparents were Judocus Benoit and Joanna Vancaesele. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Carolus, Judocus, Christian, Andreas, Maria and Catharina.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 77 on January 30th, 1753.
