Petrus was born on August 9th, 1701.  Petrus' father was Carolus Benoit and his mother was Maria Catharina Coucke.  His paternal grandparents were Carolus Benoit and Mayken Lammertijn. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Christiaan, Carolus, Andreas, Judocus, Maria Anna and Magdalena.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 69 on August 19th, 1770.
