August Gustaaf Johannes was born on February 3rd, 1850. August Gustaaf Johannes' father was Petrus Jacobus Benoit and his mother was Rosalie Monie. His paternal grandparents were Joannes Baptiste Benoit and Maria Anna Christiaens. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Petrus Leonardus, Joannes Constantinus, Eduardus Henricus, Maria Victoria, Clemence Dorothea, Octavie Leonie, Maria Cornelia Cecilia and Elisa Maria Ghislenia. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 74 on March 20th, 1924.
