Barbara's father was Adrianus Algoet and her mother was Anna Maria Coudijzer.  Her paternal grandparents were Guillelmus Algoet and Maria Vandenhecke. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Joannes Franciscus, Fredericus, Frederick, Leo, Carolus, Lucas Bernardus, Isabella Brigitta, Joanna Theresia and Isabella Brigitta.  She died on March 23rd, 1866.
