Bertha was born on April 17th, 1876 in Birsfelden Basel Land, Switzerland.  Bertha's father was Franz Joseph Christ (Christmann) and her mother was Maria Elizabeth Raas. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Rudohph, Alfried, Ernest, Arnold, Anna, Julianna, Bertha and Fredia.  She died at just 6 days old on April 23rd, 1876 in Paterson, New Jersey.  She was buried in Laurel Grove Cemetary, Totowa, New Jersey.
