John Smith (Jack) 
John was born in April 1810 in Upper Babyle, Stornoway, Ross-shire, Scotland and his christening took place in April 1810 in Stornoway, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland. John's father was Donald Gobha Smith and his mother was Marion Martin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Malcolm, Donald, Norman, Margaret, Kelly, Mary, Henrietta and Christian. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 84 in 1894 in Babyle, Isle of Lewis, Scotland.General Notes
