Catherine was born on November 19th, 1918 in South Bank, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. Catherine's father was Patrick Hannaway and her mother was Bridget Tierney. Her paternal grandparents were Patrick Hannaway and Caroline Elizabeth Jones. She had two brothers and a sister, named Patrick, John and Margaret. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 53 in March 1972 in Rotherham, England.General Notes
