Thomas Allardice

Thomas was born on May 15th, 1816 and his christening took place on May 19th, 1816 in Kirkden, Angus, Scotland.¹   Thomas' father was Alexander Allardice and his mother was Jean Whanell.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Allardice and Majory Leighton; his maternal grandparents were James Whanell and Margaret Scott. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, David, Thomas, Magdaline, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Alexander.
