David Allardice

David was born on May 9th, 1819 in Kirkden, Angus, Scotland and his christening took place there on May 15th, 1819.  David's father was Alexander Allardice and his mother was Jean Whanell.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Allardice and Majory Leighton; his maternal grandparents were James Whanell and Margaret Scott. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, Thomas, Magdaline, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Alexander.
