Richard was born in 1698 in New Kent, New Kent, Virginia, United States. Richard's father was Col Robert Allen Sr and his mother was Elizabeth Walker. His paternal grandparents were Richard Allen IV and Mary Elizabeth Holt. He had nine brothers and seven sisters, named Robert, William Hunt, Joseph, Benjamin, Drury, Josiah, Jacob, Robert, Joseph, Agnes, Susanna, Agnes, Mary, Judith, Margaret and Anne. He died at the age of 69 in 1767 in Virginia, United States.-
