Philip Le Despenser

Philip was born about 1285 in England.¹ Philip's father was Hugh Le Despenser and his mother was Isabel Beauchamp. His paternal grandparents were + Hugh (Lord Despenser) Le Despenser and Aliva Bassett; his maternal grandfather was William (9th Earl of Warwick) beauchamp and his maternal grandmother is Maud Fitzjohn. He had a brother and two sisters, named Hugh (1st Lord Despenser), Margaret and Isabel. He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Matilda "Maud". He died on September 24th, 1313.¹
