James Mar

James was born about 1151 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.¹ James' father was Morgund mac Gylocher 2nd Earl of Mar and his mother was Countess of Mar Agnes. His paternal grandparents were Earl Gillocher of Mar and <Unknown>. He had six brothers and a sister, named Malcolm, Duncan, Donald, David, John, Gilchrist and Alestra.
