Raoul was born in 0990 in Amiens, Somme, Picardy, France.1 Raoul's father was Count Gautier (The White) de Vexin II and his mother was Adele de Senlis. His paternal grandparents were Count of Amiens, Valois, Vexin Gauthier de Vexin I and Adele de Dreux; his maternal grandparents were Bormard de Senlis and <Unknown>. He had a brother and three sisters, named Dreux, Alix, Sprotte and Adela. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 50 in 1040 in Valois, Bretagne, France.1 -
