Count Gautier (The White) de Vexin II (Walter) 
Gautier, known as The White, was born in 0944 in Vexin, Normandy.1 The White's father was Count of Amiens, Valois, Vexin Gauthier de Vexin I and his mother was Adele de Dreux. His paternal grandparents were Comte Raoul de Gouy and Eldegarde Amiens; his maternal grandparents were Count Fulk (The Red) d'Anjou I and Roscille de Loches. He had a brother named Robert. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 83 in 1027.2 General Notes
