Athanasius was born in 0840 in Naples, Campania, Italy.1   Athanasius' father was Duke Gregory of Naples and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Sergius of Naples I and <Unknown>.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 60 in 0900.1
