Count Adolf of Kleve III

Adolf was born in 1352 in Kleve, Rheinland, Prussia.¹ Adolf's father was Count Adolf of Mark II and his mother was Countess Margarethe of Kleve. His paternal grandparents were Count Engelbert of the Mark and Mathilde d' Arenberg. He had a brother and two sisters, named Engelbert, Margarethe and Mathilde. He was the second youngest of the four children.
