Gerberga was born in 0968 in Arles, Toulouse, Bourgogne, France.1 Gerberga's father was Duke, King of Arles Conrad (The Peaceful) of Burgundy I and her mother was Princess Matilda de France. Her paternal grandparents were Duke, King of Italy Rudolph of Burgundy II and Bertha of Swabia; her maternal grandparents were Kng Louis (d'Outremer, Transmarinus) of France IV and Gerberga of Saxony. She had a brother and four sisters, named Rudolph, Gisele, Bertha, Matilda and Adelaide. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 48 in 1016 in Nordgau, Schwaben, Bavaria.1 -
