Robert, known as The Burgundian, was born in 1032 in Nevers, Nievre, Bourgogne, France.1 The Burgundian's father was Renaud de Nevers and his mother was Princess Adelais Capet of France. His paternal grandparents were Landry de Nevers IV and Maud de Burgundy; his maternal grandparents were King Robert II (The Pious) Capet Of France and Constance Of Toulouse. He had a brother named William. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named The Frisian, Richard, The Peaceable, Judith, Maud, Alix and Le Bon. He died about 1098.2 -
