Bobbie Jean's father was Samuel Lee Walker and her mother was Euphenia Eunice Rhew. Her maternal grandparents were John Ruffin Rhew Jr. and Sophronia Manolia Davis. She had five sisters named Valinda May, Ruth Lee, Clara Belle, Freda Elaine and Mary Edna.General Notes
