John Ruffin Rhew Jr. 
John Ruffin was born on September 26th, 1857 in NC and his baptism took place in Census 1870. John Ruffin's father was John Ruffin Rhew and his mother was Susan Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Jesse Roberts and Nancy Wilson. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William N. 'Billy', Isaac N., Jessie Thomas, James Simpson, Sarah Ann, Elizabeth J. 'Betty', Nancy C., Susan Frances 'Fannie' and Mary Selena. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 40 in 1897 in Orange Factory, Durham Co, NC.General Notes
