Joseph Buckner was born on September 10th, 1829 in Mason Co., Kentucky.1 Joseph Buckner's father was Mark WALLINGFORD and his mother was Sarah Ann APPLEGATE. His paternal grandparents were Joseph WALLINGFORD and Elizabeth WILLETT; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin APPLEGATE and Hannah PETERS. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George Washington, William Harvey, Walter Chandler, Hannah Elizabeth, Sarah Ann, Julina and Mary Margaret. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 65 on February 11th, 1895 in Mason Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Maysville Cemetery, Mason Co., Kentucky.2 2 General Notes
