His paternal grandparents were Dozier [Sr Rev @@] Thornton and Lucy Elizabeth Hill. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Reuben [@@], Thomas [@@], Benjamin T [Jr Rev @@], John C [@@], Daniel [@@], Elizabeth [@@], Priscilla Kendrick [@@], Mary [@@], Polly [@@] and Sarah S "Sally" [@@]. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 57 on September 28th, 1874.-
