Thomas Stanhope 
Thomas was born in 1578 in Shelford, Nottinghamshire, England.1 Thomas' father was Thomas Stanhope KNIGHT and his mother was Margaret Port. His maternal grandparents were John Port and Elizabeth Giffard. He had two brothers and a sister, named John Baron of, Edward and Anne. He was the youngest of the four children.-
